Our team has over 26 years of experience on developing innovative nano based materials. Specifically, on the development of nanofibers and nano reinforced polymer systems and its electrical, mechanical, thermal, rheological, and optical characterization.

Nanoreinforced Polymer Composites

Nanoreinforced systems such as nanostructured polymer composites and nanoreinforced solutions and suspensions, polymer processing and characterization, polymer compounding and engineering, and multifunctional polymer composites. Specifically: Nanostructured polymer composites such as carbon nanofiber (VGCNF) and nanotube (SWNT, MWNT) reinforced thermoplastics and thermosets. Mixing (distribution and dispersion), nanofiber/nanotube alignment, fiber/tube purification and functionalization, thermo-physical, mechanical, electrical and rheological analyses.

Forcespinning®

Our team introduced centrifugal spinning as an alternative method to produce nanofibers from a variety of materials and for melt and solution spinning processes. Synthesis and development of a variety of nanofiber systems from a variety of materials such as polyamide, PEO, PLA, polycaprolactone, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, (2,5-bis(2’-ethyl-hexyl)-1,4-phenylenevinylene), poly(3-hexylthiophene, Teflon®AF, polypropylene, cellulose, poly(vinylidene fluoride), indium-tin oxide, titanium dioxide, zirconia, silicon carbide, silicon oxicarbide, and vanadium pentoxide among many others have been successfully developed, characterized and in many instances implemented in smart devices, biomedical applications and other promising potential applications. We have extensive IP and practical experience in the development of nanofibers!
